5 Fun Christmas Activities For Your Preschoolers

Re-create the joy of the Christmas holiday season to put in the classroom is an ingenious way to engage students in preschool and encourage them to learn.

The sites and sounds of Christmas colors, the anticipation of gifts and the magic of Santa – the holidays offer a wonderful opportunity for teachers to students and encourage them to learn with fun and easy to organize their activities.

Imagine the vacancy from the perspective of a preschooler, and to explore the sensory experience of Christmas through the eyes of a child is a wonderful way to encourage the development of new skills and experiences.

Research indicates that without doubt the fundamental importance of play in learning. Many education studies have highlighted the importance of learning by experience and emphasize that students should be active in constructing their own learning, rather than passive recipients of information.

Is there a literally thousands of Christmas all activities that promote literacy, numeracy, problem solving, teamwork and creativity.

Counting, classification, categorization, drawing and painting, fiction, fiction and narrative, problem solving, relationship building – the possibilities are endless. Here are five wonderful Christmas activities that can be used to encourage students to learn through play.

1. Glittery Xmas wishlist

This activity is the classification, identification and organization skills with a Christmas wish list to develop and improve these skills.

Materials: colored paper, glue, glitter, scissors, toy catalogs and magazines.

1. Students from the bone with large sheets of colored paper.

2. Ask students to locate near the border and the tail of the brightness to be used to decorate the edge.

3. Color the heading “Wish List”

4. Tell students to hunting through toy catalogs and select and cut the toys they like.

5. Students can paste images in order of size, value, shape or color.

2. Candy Cane Hunt – Outdoor Activities

This activity is fun and develop team building and problem solving skills with a treasure hunt outdoors. Students in a small blanket and brave the cold!

Materials: 6 treasure maps in the same area of outdoor games, track sheets, cotton candy, whistle.

1. Divide students into groups of four or five teams “Elf”

2. Provide each team with a treasure map.

3. Students hand sheets and instructions to find the hidden key is Christmas.

3. Christmas Music and Art

Assessment of students of art, design and creative ability through a series of fun craft activities.

Materials: CD, CD of Christmas, art materials, decoration cookie kit

1. Play Christmas CD for the class, while making and decorating Christmas cards for your loved ones, create Christmas ornaments or decorate gingersnap cookies.

2. Encourage students to sing along with jingles, as they create their works of art.

4. Creating Christmas Story

Read a wide range of classic Christmas story of the class to inspire your imagination. See Christmas DVD and share your favorite Christmas experiences in order to develop skills of narration, telling skills and collaborative learning.

Materials: DVD, stories, DVDs, pens.

1. Divide students into groups of four and ask students to create a Christmas story.

2. Each group script history of large pieces of cardboard.

3. The students will present their storyboard and share their Christmas story for the class.

5. Runs native

1. Make a list of people, places or objects associated with Christmas. Examples – snowman, reindeer, elves, star.

2. Up to 15 students to ask questions about the subject and the answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’ depending on its relevance. For example: Snowman – “If you melt? ‘,’ Love the snow?”
