| This decorative starlight sphere from GKI/Bethlehem Lighting is adorned with 150 mini lights and, while it's perfect for holiday decorating, it can also be used year round, indoors or outdoors. Measuring 10 inches in diameter, the light sphere has a 144-inch lead. GKI/Bethlehem Lighting excels in making quality holiday lights with long-lasting brilliance. Each lamp shines with rich color and remarkable intensity for more than 3000 hours, or for three years from the date of purchase, whichever comes first. GKI/Bethlehem Lighting uses 200mA lamps to ensure the greatest possible brightness. The patented external lamp lock prevents loose connections, which is the most common reason for light set failure. Locked in their sockets, lamps will not come loose. Twist-proof lamps provide added security and eliminate misaligned wire contacts. Safety certified, the lights are UL listed for indoor and outdoor use. Starlight spheres are also available in a Mini 50-light model and a Standard 100-light model. |

| GKI/Bethlhem Lighting Indoor/Outdoor Mega Starlight Sphere 150-Lights Clear TwinkleWe hung the Mega Starlight Sphere in the front foyer of our home. It greeted our guest as they arrived New Years Eve. Everyone commented on how festive it was. Better than a disco ball. This one is a thumbs up! |

I ordered the starlight sphere to add some lighted decoration to the house during the holidays and also during parties. It arrived in perfect condition and looks just like the picture on the site. It comes with a couple extra lights for burn-outs, but I've been using this light for the past couple months and I haven't had to replace any bulbs yet.
The only downside (and minor at that) is that the power cord is green, which I ended up spray-painting white so that it wouldn't contrast so starkly to the white ball.
Overall, a great looking quality product!! I would definitely buy more in the future! |

I purchased 2 of these spheres and hung them indoors, one in each doorway between my livingroom ... to the entry and diningroom. They give off such a warm, inviting glow. When I was growing up we always had all blue lights on our Christmas trees. These spheres brought back such wonderful memories of Christmases of long, long ago. My grandkids (ages 4 and 21 months) absolutely loved them! The 4 year old "helped" me hang them. Such a big boy! I will purchase more for other holidays.
Although they are advertised as Indoor/Outdoor lights, I don't think I'd hang them outdoors here in the Northeast in the winter. With the wind, snow, sleet, etc. I'm afraid they wouldn't stand up to the weather. They hang on a long string (which is adjustable), but the globes around the lights are plastic. Right now we are in the midst of a wind storm. If I had hung them outside, I don't think they would have withstood the storm. The string is sturdy enough. But if the sphere had banged into the porch I don't think it would have survived. That being said, I think it would be great for holidays during other times of the year ... Easter, 4th of July, etc. |
